Biography Dean Armstrong has spent the past three decades traveling extensively worldwide. He feels most connected photographing in ancient cultures, where the rhythm of life is revealed in the moment. In 1989, he founded the Society for Tribal Children, an organization dedicated to promoting visibility and public awareness of indigenous people. His photographic portraits are in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian anthropological archives in Washington D.C. and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, France. He has produced and directed two documentaries: Mississippi Catfish
